Configuring a VPN for Windows 2000
1. Double-click on My Computer.
2. Double-click on Dial-Up Networking.
3. Right-click on the newly created connection VPN icon.
4. Click on the properties.
5. Click on the Security Tab.
6. In Security options check the box beside Advanced (custom settings)
.
Click on Settings button.
7. In Data encryption Select the Optional encryption (connect even
if
no encryption).
In Logon Security, check the box beside Allow these protocols and
Check in the box Unencrypted password (PAP).
8.Click on OK.
9.Click on the Networking Tab.
10.Highlight Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and click on the
Properties button.
11.Click on the Advanced button.
12.Uncheck the Use Default Gateway on remote network box and click
ok.
VPN has been configured successfully.
